OASF partnered with the Salem Convention Center to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a look back at the artwork collected for the building through the Mayor’s Annual exhibitions - and to raise funds for a new major work.
The event, featuring live jazz and an artists’ reception, raised funds to acquire Street Light, a 1962 painting by Carl Hall, one of Oregon's most distinguished artists and a longtime art faculty member at Willamette University. The evening included a silent auction of previously owned works by artists including Evelyn Sheehan, Phyllis Yes, Carol Grigg, Satsuko Hamilton and David Worrix.
This marked the first fall event to raise funds for our ongoing work to place public art in downtown Salem.
